BHEL’s
Tiruchirapalli division was set up in 1963 for the
manufacture of high pressure boilers. Today the BHEL Tiruchi
division comprises of the High Pressure Boiler Plant and the Seamless Steel
Tube Plant located at Tirucirapalli, the Power Plant
Piping Unit at Thirumayam, the
Piping Centre at Chennai and the Industrial Valves Plant at Goindwal.
The
product profile of BHEL Tiruchi includes steam
generators for power generation and industrial applications, heat recovery
steam generators, industrial boilers, atmospheric and circulating fluidized bed
combustion boilers, nuclear steam generators and reactor headers, pressure
vessels, heat exchangers, seamless steel tubes, piping systems, columns and
valves.
